The Scientist, Digital PCR (dPCR) Applications Development will work on a variety of interdisciplinary projects focused on the application of dPCR technology using QIAGEN’s innovative QIAcuity platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Using your advanced technical expertise you will develop dPCR-based applications for the QIAcuity platform.
- You will independently familiarize yourself with new topics, plan and execute lab-based experiments.
- Regular exchange and collaboration with experts from different fields will be a key part of the role.
- You will also have responsibility for documenting and presenting QIAGEN’s dPCR both internally and externally at conferences and trade shows.
- Active networking with key opinion leaders within the field will also expand the visibility of your role and enable knowledge sharing.
Position Requirements

- PhD qualified in biology, biochecmistry of a relevant field.
- Comprehensive knowledge and extensive laboratory experience of PCR application areas (digital PCR; real-time PCR, endpoint PCR).
- Knowledge and experience of various molecular and cell biology methods as well as enzymatic systems.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills, for both internal and external audiences.
- Fluent in English and German, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to scientific conferences and customer sites.
